Hey there, welcome to my awesome (poorly maintained) website! This is only the 3rd time that I’ve had to completely remake this poor website (okay, maybe more like 6th time) but I’m pretty sure I’m going to stick to it. I switched hosts and everything, yippee!
I began work on this project in 2022! I wrote the first draft of the main play, Neo-Contemporary Failure: an epic in 4 parts in 27 days… all 645 pages! Since then, I’ve been shifting, adjusting, and cleaning it up. I’ll be posting those here for you to read.
Since an 8 hour long play is not exactly reasonable to try to get produced, I’ve decided to post it for free here. I’ve also written like a million short stories, scripts, and other things sorta that take place in this same universe. So I’ll be posting those here too.
What is Neo-Contemporary Failure? Well, It’s about a playwright and a choreographer in the late 1960s up to the early 2000s. It follows their careers, their lives, and their weird psycho-sexual obsession with each other. I wanted to reflect on nostalgia, musical theatre, chronic suicidality, and on how we approach the past (What do we do when good art is made by bad people? What about bad art made by bad people?) in a fun, dramatic little story.
